BOOOHOOO - No Motor!!
Discussion
Why selling? I need something a bit more practical for the daily commute over to Halifax & for the 500 mile round trip to Sar's. Until she gets up here I'm having little time to use the Tiv as intended anyway so getting a cheap hack for commuting & keeping it for weekends isn't really an option. Plus, when she does come up we'll be keeping her place as an investment and using my equity to get a joint pad up here, in which case I could do with taking a few quid out of the car in case we need it.
I'm certainly not done with Tiv ownership though and will be hankering after a Tam once things settle down and I can afford/justify the spend. Meantime, what to replace it with is a tough one. I'll either go cheap for a while or use my car allowance to finance something that's a bit fun but quite practical too so I can generate some cash & have the best of both worlds. Current thoughts are a recent Impreza or 325ti Compact but I'm changing my mind constantly & really need to do some research & arrange some test-drives. All suggestions welcome...

Chumley - I would strongly advise taking you car allowance and looking at a new Honda S2000 on a lease package. Only costs about £400 ish a month, fully serviced and tyred.
And as Carzee demonstrated on EuroHoon they really are flying machines and good looking, and reliable... and an electric rag top!
See the video clips on EuroHoon, both "Hairpin Fun" and "Hairpin Hooning". They are both taken from Carzee's car following mine... just listen to the sound of his engine!

Thought about this myself but I've been advised that its expensive to withdraw from one of these schemes in less than the time period stated in the agreement, (usually IIRC 3 years). That might not be an issue, but I tend to get bored after a couple of years..
Other thing to think about is mileage. They may well charge you more if you are going to be doing a fair few miles..
