Stin, I saw you posted up in the Ferrari forum asking Simon Spider to borrow the Murcie.....he does such a service though not self drive. The web link is in his profile, and is:

Burriana said, somewhat tongue in cheek... "Come on chaps - keep up!!! You'll be telling me next that you don't know that the Fishes have also sold up!... and that Rods is selling.... and that so am I!
However - as we all know, it's not a brand thing, it's a PistonHeads thing
So we'll all still drive down to Black Tie & Pie in one big happy convoy... just not sure what of yet
Stin - when in October? I'm only up the road from you in Whitley. By then I will either still have the red Griffith, or a red or yellow F348 Spider... or both!
Can only take you though I'm afraid, just can't risk the thousand to one odds of anything unthinkable happening - on the plus side, it would only cost you a beer
What you need is two standbys - rag top if the sun is shining, cool coupe if not, as it's not really that brill for a passenger in a Griff with the roof on.
and lets face it, if Chim Girl still has hers, you could do worse on the pose front than being driven to the wedding by a fit blonde in a powder blue Tuscan

Yeah I appreciate that... I really just want to drive the bride to my house which is where the reception is being held.

True but I'm already getting married to one! (Minus the Powder Blue Tuscan)

Well the jury is still out on that one, we've bounced around thoughts of a Tamora, a T305T and Adam has made a couple of hints about considering a Porker (NO - not a Boxster!). The Tuscan is going to be a hard act to follow, anything we've test driven just seems to lack a little oooomph once you get back behind the wheel of the beastie. The most likely winner will be a Tamora, in an ideal world one with an RR spec would be perfect!

Nothing but a turbo piggy would give similar thrust to the Tuscan, though the drop top (assuming you want lid free motoring) one has only just come out and is silly money. The 996 C2 and C4 cabs are very, very competent but lack the warp drive of the S6. Apart from Tivs, possible others could be a Maserati spyder maybe? Or Lotus Esprit V8 targa top...then Adam really could live out his James Bond fetish
Best Regards

Crumbs, everyone is selling at the moment. We could start a rival to Autotrader on here.
Well, I'm putting TUS 373 up for sale in 2 weeks time too. Pity really, as after the last service the engine has just purred. I'm hoping to get something Italian next year - just need to get a job first so I can live out my dreams!! . Now, if I can persuade Al to buy a really nice mint topaz Tuscan - he'd have a choice of two.

Nah, I'm after a Punto.
Like you say Jo, the Tuscan is very hard to beat. Its so fast its difficult for people who have not been in one to comprehend, plus the roof comes off, and its nice inside, and its stunning to look at, and there are so many different ones to choose from....ah, I don't want to sell her!
Seriously though, I'm in the final throws of my MBA and ready to unleash myself upon the business community. So no job right now, Tuscan has to go. If I can get a directorship, I'll being doing an Al - but most likely a GT car incase I end up becoming a dad and need the extra seats.

.. and all this banter helps me in what way?
It builds up the expectation of me lending you my Saab for your wedding mate - mainly as other the TVRs will have been sold by then.
I had a TVR themed wedding last year - I think there were 9 in total, and aamzingly no Chimaeras amongst them. I gave a very cringeworthy wedding speech about my pride and joy, and my bride and joy.
Well, it was my party...so I did what I wanted to..
