Big thanks to PH'ers
Discussion
Hi all, I posted a request for individual sponsorship for Rob Okeys walk norway and I would like to say a big thank you for all your support and donations.
I actually noticed quite a few PistonHead donations which made us all really happy.
As we speak Rob Okey is currently walking accross Norway and is making good progress although he is in a great deal of pain.
He is constantly in touch with myself and my fiance' giving us personal updates on how he is doing physically and mentally and he is still feeling positive and driven but looking forward to coming home and joining all of his friends back in training for strongman competitions over the coming year.
I myself have just hosted the Raw Power Challenge in Leeds and although the typically british weather reared it's ugly head as is the case when someone hosts a big show (we all know this one ) the show went down without a hitch and Im not in debt which is awsome considering this was my first show hahahahaha.
I am looking at putting on some bigger and better competitions within the next 18 months and I will keep everyone updated.
I was actually thinking about contacting piston heads and putting a proposal forward that could benefit both motoring enthusiasts and strongman fans alike by hosting a strongman show and a car show at the same venue on the same day.....maybe a strength show and TVR meet or something?
To all members, please give me your feedback on this, if it interests you myself and the good people of Piston Heads could make this happen.
Thank you all again
I wish you all the best in life, love, sport and motoring
Warmest regards
Scott Downey
