I’ve seen a few posts about ‘anyone want to go for a drive?’. Just wondering where you normally go, and how far. I live around north Leeds and there are probably some great roads but not really been to explore them. The people who go, do you all have TVR’s and other sports cars, or do people with normal road cars go along for the drive and enjoy it too?

A drive for me is with like minded car enthusiasts, whether it be porsche, ferrari, TVR or Ford for that matter. Distance can be a short distance to a pub 10-15 mls or a longer run to find a particular piece of road.

Post something up to cover the roads you want to do and see if someone wants to come along. If you think its too long you ould always plan on two runs !

The "anyone up for this" drives, usually involve TVRs... (though a Porsche 993 Twin Turbo has somehow wangled it's way in recently )... but only because we all met through this site and other predominantly TVR dos.

It's not meant to be particularly exclusive and, as Bob says, the runs can range from a convoy to Piston Fest, to a 45 minute run up to a pub.

All I can say is, Dawn Raid is a belter... though the FTO driver had to give his gearbox some welly to keep in touch - and that wasn't a particularly fast run from what it could have been.

On a normal fun run out we don't mind what company we have, as long as it doesn't have blue lights attached
