Save your money Phil, seriously. Unless you have a thousand pounds or more spare to get it done properly, and even then you could just give it to me to spend for you smile

Raccoon in Featherstone are meant to be good. They have never done any work for me but I have been to their office, and the R8 they were doing at the time looked brilliant

Raccoon are very good, they did my Maranello Concessionaires red/blue livery on the 348 a couple of Le Mans ago. Here are a couple of shots of mine and, what a sod it was trying to get it off!

big players, Raccoon and Totally Dynamic, TD is a franchise and covers most of the country, take a look at their website, many other wrappers too like us but mainly regional work.

Al, I know you had problems with yours mate. There is also a chap from my old neck of the woods down South who had a nightmare with his Gallardo done in about 3 shades of white...

I am in 2 minds. Paintwork on mine is mint at the mo, and hence the temptation to wrap it rather than spray it. The colour I am after is potentially an awkward one either way, and the costs between wrapping and spraying aren't actually all that far apart...Probably best part of £1500 for a wrap, £2200 for a spray at a well-regarded sprayer, or I could pay £1500 for a spray at a race-car sprayer who is yet to prove himself doing road cars. Decisions, decisions. The car hardly goes unnoticed as it stands.

On a similar theme, does anyone know a company that fits clear protection film to cars in our neck of the woods?

Most of the well known names only seem to operate darn sarf. I had my last car done by Paintshield, which wasent such a hike to Grantham, but they have now re-located to Peterboroughfrown

Thanks....g

Who is this well regarded sprayer Phil?

I want a bit of paintwork done on mine over winter, certainly a front end and back end, the latter down to the little bollard bump when we met up in Harrogate banghead

Chris Gregory in Knaresborough is the guy you want as Gemini mentioned. I pass his establishment nearly every day and apart from a healthy amount of TVR's i see there , the fearri, lambo, porsche and aston car clubs must have either discounted rates there or merely couldnt drive a greasy stick up a dead dogs a**e !

His quality is second to non and to keep the new paint in tip top condition try a friend of his Dave Naxton of DPN valeting, top stuff and great guys to deal with.

Forfot to ask the question hence the edit. Someone quoted a full wrap at around the same price as a full respray, £1,500 to 2k. This seems amazingly cheap given that i was quoted for a wrap on a smallish, but curvy TVR Griffith as around £3500. A front end respray on the Tuscan comes in at around 1K with vat etc and i dont even have a spectra flair/cascade colour to match.

Quality costs apparently.

A Griff looks huge alongside my go kart, plus the clams unbolt very easily so labour costs are reduced. A well regarded sprayer in the Lotus world has quoted me £2200 including labour to remove the clams. £500 less if I do the donkey work myself. Having seen the quality of his work, its second to none.

I saw a Lamborghini Huracan getting done here last week. If the owner trusts them with that, they must be good!
