Reccomended custom exhaust shops?

Although best know for their work on the Maxest of Max power cars, exhaustsUK in Sheffield do actually have a very good reputation I believe and do work on 'normal' peoples cars too.
These guys - http://www.tonylawexhausts.co.uk/2410/frames.php are supposed to be very good too, but shocking website!

But they are actually very professional and very good and very reasonable
I have a S/S hand built exhaust fitted to my TVR 400SE and am very happy
When I decided the original wasn't quite loud enough I called them up
and went back and had it "adjusted" to Very Loud
Now I constantly get praise from everyone who hears my car (except maybe my neighbours)
Highly recommended
HTH
Cheers

Tony Banks did a good job on my old A4 last year.
But unless you like loud, select his quietest option. I went for a "mild sport" and it was fecking deafening at anything over 50, so be warned...
I did go back and have a resonator fitted, but although that quietened it down a bit, it was still too noisy for me.
When I Googled his company and noisy, it seemed a lot of people thought the same thing as me.
But having said that, he did a good job.

I had the Corvette pipes replaced (2 full length pipes up to the engine manifolds) done at the forementioned ExhaustsUK down at Meadowhall Centertainment industrial estate. Cost about £600, 25 year warranty, top job.

I understand your point of view, and Id have advised you to keep away after a poor experience. However, after trying again I found that the annoying proprietor had grown up a great deal and was pretty easy to deal with. That website is shocking!
On my first visit in 2004 he knew everything about everything and being very wrong didnt put him off. To cap that he didnt actually have a proper pipe bender, and much of his product line was bought-in. I took some persuading to visit again in 2008 but I came away with a good quote for a tricky down pipe and straight through middle for my track 944 and I wouldt have recognised him if it wasnt for his gignger hair. Hed bought a mandrel bender too...
The companys roots were in an old school exhaust fabricating firm, who disappeared in a road building clearance - I believe that the proprietor was the old fellows son and that some of the staff moved too. Unfortunately theyre very Max Power and there are lot of Lexus lights, baseball caps and charvered up Puntos in their carpark, but try not to let that put you off.
I'm trying to find a decent exhaust place and I figured it made sense to bump an old thread.
Looking for somewhere to make me an exhaust for the ISF based on a design for an existing aftermarket exhaust that I have found online. I would just buy a readymade one but the shipping costs from across the pond makes the total price skyrocket. Tried sourcing one from a different company with some trick butterfly valved backboxes (X Force Varex) but the European suppliers won't give me a price and the shipping costs from Australia are ridiculous.
Is there anywhere decent that can do things like siamese x pipes and replicate a design from a few high res pictures? Don't mind travelling for the right place.

Had a ss system custom made for an X1/9 many years ago good quality looked superb and a nice increase in power. Quieter than the Janspeed system that it replaced.
