For those of you that don't know about this, there is a run through the glorious Peak District this Sunday ... dawn start means empty roads!

See "Events" for more details.

Cannot get there for the Sat evening antics, but am thinking about getting there for the 5:30am departure time if I can get out of bed

Al, do you have the link to the Travel Lodge site or the post code of the Lodge please? So I can do a route map to give me some indication of how long it will take me to get there........no jokes about my time keeping please or I may

I trust you will be sporting one of your 'original' shirts for the weekend's activities Al?

Thanks

MOD.

a) check out the original thread - there's a link to the TL there I think.

b) Shirt? ooh, if requested I'm sure that can be arranged... although I think at that time in the morning the wooly coat will be called for

Should be getting the car back on Saturday from its first round of engine work.... but I've got to treat it gently for the next month till its in for a rebuild, so I won't be making it. That and I'm off to the motor show to mouth off at the TVR stand personally on Sunday!

Sorry to hear this JS What is the extent of the work required on the Tuscan? Sorry if you have posted the details before.

It had the fish finger followers done a couple of years ago. I actually got it back a bit early last night from having had the throttle bodies replaced with uprated ones to stop the bad fuelling, etc. That's not cured the problem at all, really, so there's still that to fix. And then there's the valve guides that've worn. So it's getting through a litre of oil every 500 miles or less (and throwing most of it out of the exhaust). In for a full rebuild at the end of the month!

To be honest, I'm quite happy about it. I would always have wondered if a 2002 "spec" engine would hold out for my entire ownership. If in six weeks time I have a car with full 2004 spec, then I should at least have some faith in the car. In the meantime, I'm busy buying all the Tuscan S external bits (badges, spoiler, splitter), to go along with the RR conversion it's had.
