So,
I decided the time came to announce that I have in fact MOVED from sunny Newbury...I have moved oop North and crikey doesn't it just rain.

So I'm here, the scoob is here, the griff is here..I live further away from the ferry for Le Mans and the Griff still has a flat battery.

I suppose I ought to 'get in' with the NYTVRCC lot. But if I hear 'driving Gods country ' once more I swear I'll go spare (you know who you are).

Just off to see if the accumate has put anything resembling electricity in the car...

Welcome to the land I call Yorkshire, but if you want to call it, "Gogs Country" you carry on.

Look forward to seeing you at the next 'event', I'm sure there will be something planned soon.

Greetings mate. Was just about to contact you and see if you've survived your first few weeks in the people's republic of Yorkshire.

Once I know how mobile I'll be in the next few weeks I'll be in touch and see if your aclimatisation has got as far as finding local ale houses..

As another refugee from your part of the world Hormone (Oxford and in my dim and distant past B*sings*oke) I'm sure you'll fit in real fast and then you won't want to leave.

I'm sorry but it truly is Gods Country.

C'mon then, we seem to be without events until July (PF & BNG). Do any of you fancy doing a run sometime in June?

Keep talking....

...but whisper so the car doesn't hear - every time I plan something, a bit falls off (TVRCC, Bucket & spade, etc.). If it's taken by surprise, it's fine.

Morning Jo.

There are a few events already going on in June. Obviously first weekend is out to anyone attending piscine nuptials, Vmax V is happening on 20th June (I shall be running, well hopefully driving down the 2 mile straight), Bolton Abbey 27th June, so 13th of June is free (but isn't that LeMans?).

13th is indeed Le Mans for those that are attending.

Is there anything happening next weekend 29th to 31st May ? I need to swap the cars over again but I'm unsure whether to do it on Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

Out of interest, what is V Max all about. I've heard about it but what and where is it?

And all those not otherwise occupied... don't forget Dawn Raid on 6th June.

V-max is a speed day at Bruntingthorpe airfield (about 100 miles from me), where lots of tasty cars meet up and go as fast as possible down the run way and then have fun through the corners on the way back to the start. Cars race (I mean run ) in pairs and keep to their respective side of the track at all times, so you don't get stone chips. There are two laser traps at the end of the straight with big boards indicating your true speed.

You should try and get on the list Al, e-mail Craigw who is the organiser he usually resides in the Ferrari forum.

Plus you can ask for passenger rides in other peoples cars, and if you wish can take others out in your car for a blast. It is great fun.

The top speed was over 200mph last time by Adamt in the RUF 911 turbo.

Hope some more of the Yorkshire gang can make it down for the day
