Gutted to hear about this. I'll keep an eye out. Any more info from the tracker?
Was much damage done to your house or anything else taken?
Police have found it in Whitchurch. Apparently no damage to the car, but it was locked, so no keys with it. I've got a spare, but the first job when I get it back will have to be new locks, barrels etc.Was much damage done to your house or anything else taken?
Some damage to the house, spent all day sorting it out and beefing up the security. So easy to be wise after the event.
Nothing else was taken, fortunately.

My E39 M5 was taken under similar circumstances from the Wirral back in 2006 (I still have the car) and it ended up in Liverpool after a week parked up in a side street. Cops reckon they do just that for a week or so to see if it has a tracker device. fking scum bags!!
Sounds exactly the same as this. Found on a residential street, locked up safe and sound.Police told me the same as they told you. They park it up for a few days, then if it's still there it probably hasn't got a tracker, then take it away and change it's identity.
I guess maybe they go for cars of this age as there must be a fair chance they don't have a tracker. According to the cops, mine has two!
POLICE have traced a valuable sports car just a day after it was stolen during a burglary in Chester.
A police officer from Whitchurch was on his way to a meeting on Tuesday, April 19, when his vehicle registered a tracker activation for a stolen blue BMW.
Checks revealed it had been stolen with the keys during a burglary at an address in Chester the previous day.
PC Paul Frank, who found the car, said it was common for offenders stealing high-value vehicles to leave them parked up somewhere for a day or so afterwards.
“A lot of expensive cars have tracker devices fitted these days and thieves will leave them parked in an innocuous location for 24 hours or so to check,” he said.
“The BMW has been recovered for forensic examination and its owner informed that it has been found.”
PC Frank also appealed for anyone who might have seen anybody parking the car or hanging around it since it appeared, probably sometime during Monday, to contact police.
Anyone with information about the stolen BMW is asked to contact the police on 0300 333 3000, 0845 458 0000 or the anonymous Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
