I'm going to do the Woodhead Pass early tomorrow morning to blow the cobwebs off the E36 M... if anyone fancies it PM me your number and I'll give you a shout. Probably leaving city centre Manc about 8 or 9am.

Plod will be waking up about then, take care.

I'll be leaving Manchester Airport for Sheffield about then, using a far more interesting route...smile

Was considering that one myself... though the rain isn't making me like the idea... no ABS and no T/C...

Damm! Turns out I peaked too soon! I got as far as the Woodhead Reservoir then spotted a nice looking ribbon of tarmac that took me round the other side of the reservoir and into Glossop, then I took the Snake Road and eventually came back along the A623. Bloody good day though! First time I'd taken the M3 out for 6 months and she performed faultlessly. Even the seats were fine for the few hours I was out, though I used the inertia-reel instead of the harnesses...

A bit random and off topic, but I'm a graphic design student and liking your site!
