Simon - what you buying mate?

I'd recommend RM Fisher at Lancaster - speak to Steve (although im sure you've tried there).

Otherwise, Steve again, but at Liverpool Seat in the former Audi place.

Others:

IMG - Warrington - not bad - but not massive showroom - so wouldn't imagine a lot of haggling power. Friendly enough.

LC Charles, Crewe - big showroom and plenty to look at - seemed quite pushy though.

Lookers, Stockport - never been to Stockport one, but were ok when they were at Trafford.

David Cooks, Oldham - quite good i've heard, do a bit of chip tuning too and been there years - know their stuff!

Manchester Seat - no idea, never heard anything or tried.

Hobins - Bury and Preston - I went to Bury when they were Pennines and they were fairly useless. Have always found Terry, Alex and Martin at Preston to be pretty good though.

That's about it.

Chester has just shut down after a bad year of trading.

There's one at Kendal, quite new i think - never tried there but not too far for you.

Hi mate,

The good lady is after a new Leon FR TDi in Speed Blue.

She went into Hobin as she lives in Preston and the Salesmen weren't bothered. They just assumed she was some dumb blonde I think (she is far from that, and drives a hard deal!) and wouldn't give her the time of day. Yet, as soon as a couple came in they were licking their arses straight away. They've lost a sale there and probably a few years of servicing too lol.

I rung the local one to me up for her as she has been away, and they wouldn't discuss any basic items over the phone. Funny, as I fired an email off to another dealer quite far away and the sales guy was in touch within 2 hours with all the info needed.

Kendal SEAT are owned by the Cox Motor Group, and after her experiences with Lancaster Honda on her current Civic she'll never spend a single pound with them again.

I'm just trying to find a dealer who is worthy of a sale smile

I had no complaints about IMG in Warrington. They sorted a fault with my car under warranty, and were able to provide a courtesy car at short notice when I took mine in for a service.

Good stuff.

Are they part of a big group?

Heard very little of them to be honest.

Get your ass over to SeatCupra.net for lots of good info re the car!

Hi mate.

They are part of Hobin. The manager was really proud that they've stolen a local customer off the Preston dealership. A feather in their cap I think!

Just got the long wait now for a Speed Blue FR TDi with DSG box, 18s, Bluetooth, and winter pack.

Yep, I rung up for her and the salesman on the phone wouldn't tell me anything over the phone. I'd have to pop in.

fk that. Go to a dealer who's willing to help! She lives in south Preston, so Manchester and Lancaster arent that different distance wise.
