Stag Do in Liverpool
Discussion
Hi Guys
Just looking for some advice/tips on organising a stag do to Liverpool in August 2011 (hopefully bank holiday). Im looking for suggestions on good centralised hotels as well as decent boozers/clubs etc. Also is there anywhere thats the "must be" place on the weekend, not as in footballers and celebs etc but just really busy with a good atmos?.
Would also appreciate if someone can suggest somewhere near any hotels suggested that would welcome 35+ lads for a good drink in the day time saturday. We usually do walkabout/whetherspoons, you can imagine the amount of money we spend as well
Looking for any advice possible on having a good stag do in Liverpool!!
Thanks for any advice PH's, much appreciated

I've only been here a few months but I'll try and help you out.
The Holiday Inn is in a perfect location IMO, it's right beside the train station and right in the city centre. You're within a short walk of all the pubs/clubs. You can also park in St. Johns car park (if yous are driving) at a reduced rate of £6/day.
I've stayed at the Adel

I've stayed at the Adelphi hotel before, it's slightly more central than the Holiday Inn but they're basically right beside eachother.
I don't really know about the nightlife once all the students have went home, but I'd look at Concert Square. It's a square full of pubs and clubs, and really alot of the other good spots stem off from there.
You also have the bigger nightclubs, Bamboo, Nation/Cream.
There's also a couple of strip clubs up beside the holiday inn..

Have a look into serviced apartments - there's quite a few of them in the city centre.
Indeed, check Duke Street... Or more specifically, Hudson Gardens. Loads along Duke street and Henry street all for a fraction of the cost of hotels.http://www.laterooms.com/en/hotel-reservations/991...
When you here, it is the Matthew street festival which is brilliant and you can take your own shop bought booze.
Try the docks for a few day time beers, not overly priced and a nice atmosphere outside in the sun, also concert square bars are open day time (there is a walkabouts, yates and you can get food deals in both)
Night time I suggest for a big group... Anywhere, loads of bars and clubs, bear in mind that weekend is a bank holiday so the sunday night can be filled with scrotes like me that have been at creamfields all weekend.
Circo on the docks is good on a bank holiday too.
ETA: Rude lap dancing bar.

Thanks for the help Guys. I have now booked a hotel and changed the dates. We are booked in the Ibis City Centre and arriving on the 15th July.
Can anyone advise on how near bars/clubs etc the Ibis is? I have been on google maps but its hard to judge, my mate recons its miles and miles from the main bar area?

Your about a 10-15 minute walk, 3 minutes in a cab, which will be alrite with a few pissed up mates. Can anyone advise on how near bars/clubs etc the Ibis is? I have been on google maps but its hard to judge, my mate recons its miles and miles from the main bar area?
You'll have a laugh!
Ibis is close to docks, which I believe are the place to go now.
Clubbing has died and not suitable for a stag. Circo at the Docks is meant to be awesome when in full flow, but then my mate is manager there, so he might be spinning me a line.
Concert Sq is Ibis end of town, but its not what it was (dons Grandad hat), mainly due to stag and hen parties. However, as you are on a stag do you might love it.
