What's a Maserati got to do with it?

Or do you mean the MP4-12C?

Ooh, I spotted them painting the boarding up today, didn't realise we were getting McLaren in. Bonus! Gives me something to look at when I'm scoffing a fryup in Canutes 8-)

Anybody else had a look at the presentation / billboard screen they've now put up? . . . . . . . . .Something tells me that when the boards come off, we'll be treated to a very Ron Dennis / McLaren experience!

The new showroom they are having built at Guy Salmon's looks very nice, cant wait for Mclaren to open there, although i bet it will be appointment only. Also, Ferrari are supposed to be moving in next door to Porsche in Wilmslow in early 2011.

I'm hoping for an F1 on display.
same here, to see an F1 in there would be quite something, does anyone know if they will service the Mclaren's there or will it all be done in Woking?

Is there space to do any servicing in Knutsford? and yes Ferrari are moving to better premises smile

I am not too sure, there is a small area around the back of the showroom but never been round there, i am not sure if there are already workshops at the Rolls showroom, it would be great if the Mclarens were serviced there as for one, you would see some nice cars and 2, it would be easier for owners as i am sure they dont want to drive for 3 hours to woking to get their car serviced. There is also going to be a Mclaren showroom in Birmingham as well i believe.

Don't the cars from the current Rolls showroom get sent to Bentley Manchester for servicing?

Last time I was in there, there were a couple of Phantoms in the service area.

No servicing room round the back, although i guess something could be built there, only enough room for a decent 1 car workshop though if they did build there. It is just a car park around the back and an office or two, nothing exciting. Although if you live in knutsford and see a plain white lorry turning in there, it might be worth seeing if they are having a delivery, i was lucky enough to catch the first phantom coupe being driven off the lorry into the showroom before they were for sale and it was then driven around a bit. It will be interesting to see what they have planned, although i have never been so enthused by the F1 myself, would be at least nice to see one in there.

Possible but seems unlikely for newer cars given they are owned by rival parent companies.

In this case it's true, as both Royce and Bentley dealerships are owned by Syntner, as is the new McLaren dealership at 1 Canute Place . . . . . . so at a guess, I think servicing will take place at the Moberley Road Bentley service centre smile

The McLaren franchise in London is definately run by Jardine - are they part of Sytner?

So if the Mclarens will not be serviced at the showroom, then do you think they could be serviced at Bentley along with the Rolls Royce?
