Gen,

I'm not sure PH is really the "cuise scene" if thats what you;re after. There is a crowd that sometimes meets up in south manchester, but it's a run so rarely in winter I would think.

If you're after a cruise, the mcDonalds by West One retail aprk in eccles is full of chavved up corsas every friday night. I have no idea what the atmosphere is though, as I've only ever driven past.

I don't think we have many 'static' meets in the North West - most folks meet up over the summer months and head out for runs.
You might have more luck looking for a Jap meet. They used to have a monthly meet at Mascrat Manor, just off the M6/A57 junction - not sure if it's still going, was a pretty big group a few years ago.

Went to a couple earlier in the year, seems to have died a death unfortunately. Used to be a good evening in early summer but tailed off considerably.

Somebody should organize one! I have no idea where would be suitable which is easily accessible to everyone without too much of a drive! Possibly somewhere near Wigan or a pub on the east lancs which is where we have the MG-rover meets each month?

It's a hard on to judge to be honest. The north west stretches from Stoke on Trent right up to the very top of the lakes. A Wigan based meet would be fine for those based between Lancaster and Manchester, but that still rules out a lot of people. Especially if it was a regular thing. More people would be interested if it was a big one off event like a northern breakfast meet or even a SS event.

I agree but if we had somewhere, even more north like near preston, as a regular thing such as last sunday each month or something then people have the option to come to only one every few months and then from there we could base as a start for runs during summer so everyone knows where the start/meet point is.

Meets with a run out are far more interesting - just need to buy a car quick enough to keep up with a Fiat 500 now.

There is the Unphased meet in Blackburn every month, mainly a VW meet but always welcome other interesting cars there.
Gets very busy in summer.
