Twice on Sunday. Lovely surface and a smashing delay at the end!

What a shame about that boarded up house right next to it - that would have been fantastic with no road next door.

Just come down it - thought the same about the boarded up house. It being single carriageway is a pain though.

I drove it on Sunday, and although I know the area intimately it was really hard to work out exactly were I was at any point. It was still busy in the village too!!

I reckon they should have chucked in a couple of roundabouts just for the hell of it as it's very boring...

Went on it for the first time today..nice smooth tarmac, just cant make my mind up if it will be any quicker with the eventual build up of traffic.

still it gives me more options now on the way to work to keep it more exciting.

Where does it start and end then chaps? I didn't even know they were making a bypass and I use the dual carragway from Cheadle to the Merlin often !

Are you blind?! It's from the Merlin roundabout to the far side of Astra Zeneca.

Once they have finished cocking about with all the new junctions by the Tiger Lilly it should ease the traffic a bit. Then again, it looks like they are adding at least 2 new sets of light.

At the moment it is a complete cluster f*** down that end. Fingers crossed they can speed things up through the Monksheath lights.

The road is fine, ..... it's the muppets that are now driving at 30 - 40mph on a road that is NSL, 60mph because it is single lane!! There will be some serious head on accidents, because of these idiots, and then the limit will be reduced to 40mph ......

At least it has a limit of 60mph so you can overtake. I bet if this was Derbyshire you'd be looking at a 50 which makes overtaking the 40mph crew much harder (legally)

Its a bl00dy nightmare getting through Monks Heath in the mornings, so much so I've started leaving for work an hour earlier to avoid it! What the hell are they playing at?! frown

The traffic was bad through Alderley Edge again this morning as the through traffic (towards Wilmslow) now can't get out at The Merlin roundabout due to traffic now taking the new bypass.

I tried it last week for the first time on my way home. In the 3 years I've lived here I can honestly say it's never taken me so long to get home. Everything was moving fine until I got within a 100 yds of the roundabout at Monks Heath end, then took me another half hour just to get to the main traffic lights furious

Took me 40 mins to get from Broken Cross in Macc to the Chelford roundabout this morning - guessing it is around 5 miles - all the delay caused by the build up of traffic at Monks Heath - nightmare. rage

Avoid Monks Heath at all costs around rush hour imo, even when I get there at half six in the morning there is invariably a queue for the lights!

Whichever genius decided to divert the entire northbound A34 down that road wants shooting to death.

I used it the other day, not much traffic (middle of the morning) but it seemed to go on forever. The surface is lovely though, I'll give it six months.

wouldn't go down that road too fast guys, was on there the other day, saw an F430 Spider being pulled up, most probably for speeding.
