hi all,

Its that time again I need new tyres on the Elise. I'm based in Stockport and need all 4 (2* 195,59,15 and 2* 225,45,16) the cheapest I can find toyos is £200 from camskill.co.uk however that leaves me with getting them fitted. Where do people recommend getting them fitted? or do you know some where that has good prices for tyres in the area?

Try this http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/

Price includes fitting and they come to you at a time that suits you. Look after your wheels too.

Stewart Wilson can be good on price and some of their staff are brilliant at fitting. You'd think the computerised balancing machine would be the same used by everyone....but the owner and the manager seem to have a better feel for balancing.

yes have used Event Tyres before . . . . Last time they replaced a tyre for me in the car park at Chester Racecourse and were still the cheapest who could do it that week (Costco were marginally cheaper for Michelins, but didn’t have the correct tyres in stock for my Ed30)

Do they also balance the wheel in the back of the van? Can it be done well like that if they do?

Yep, there was no difference in the service than if I'd driven my car into a high street tyre place . . . . Apart from Event used airbags and not jacks and took better care hehe

cavalier garage did a great job for me recently. They're based in Trafford park, and are a fitter for blackcircles.com too.

Bonus was 4 wheel lazer alignment for a daft 20 quid - the back end is much better now =)

thanks for the link guys event are coming to fit my new Toyos today came in at only £9 more than getting them from the cheapest on line dealer and getting them fitted at mates rates and its considerably less hassle so will probably use them again.
