I think it's a bit of an oxymoron personally - spaceframe VW Beetle lookalikes racing for hours and hours and hours...

Looked quite good - until you see 4 hours of 'Funcup'. Shame really for the last car race meet of the season.

I'm going for the TVR's. Don't think I can cope with 4 hrs of beetles though!

A good variety there. Even more excited now!!

I was at Oulton a few weeks back when there was a purple Tuscan Racer competing. It was good to see it making it's way through the pack!!

I noted a marked improvement when the TVRs left wink Actually the days of the Speed 12 and the Lister Storms fighting it out were pretty awesome. However, I'm heading to Donington as my missus wants to meet a friend in Nottingham and my old man wants to take his new car for a decent run out. Get some pics from Oulton though!

Guys, anybody travelling from the north to Oulton Park, please note that the M56 will will be closed as from 10.00pm Friday night. See below;

The Highways Agency is advising road users to allow extra time for their journeys over two weekends in October, as essential work gets underway to replace the 39-year-old Bowdon View Bridge linking the M56 with the A556 south-west of Manchester.

While the old bridge deck is demolished, the M56 will be closed eastbound from its junction with the M6 at Junction 9 and westbound from Junction 6 at Hale Barns from 10pm on Friday 15 October 2010 until 5am on Monday 18 October 2010.

The same closures will then be in place from 10pm on Friday 22 October 2010 until 5am on Monday 25 October 2010 while the new bridge deck is moved in to place. The M56 Junction7 westbound exit slip road will remain closed to traffic throughout that week, reopening at 5am on Monday 25 October 2010

While the closures are in place drivers are advised to plan their journeys and allow extra time when travelling on the clearly signed diversion routes. People travelling to and from Manchester and Manchester Airport are urged to use public transport wherever possible to avoid delays.

Probably best using the M6 where possible.

When are the series organisers going to get the TVRs off the same meeting as a 4 hour Beetle race? I would love to see them race but am not prepared to fork out £25 for a round trip to see just 2 races. Can`t we get them on the same bill as Porches , Caterhams etc

This.

I was toying with going, but the rest of the meeting is just crap. Would be going for the drive out rather than the meeting.

Was worth it to see the TVR's racing, walk round the paddock & see a number of TVR's in the parking areas. Only cost £12 on the day, cheaper if you buy in advance.
