I'm tempted to have a DVD system installed into the headrests of the car for the kids on longer journeys (obviously concerned they don't watch enough TV already!). We have a system from Halfords which is fine but I don't like leaving it in situ in case it leads to a break in and it's a bit of a faff getting it out of the garage and set up. When it is set up, it isn't secured all that tightly so shakes a little too which isn't great.

Anyone have any recommendations for places to try in the Cheshire/South Manchester/Wirral area?

How much am I looking at? (Need 2 screens but the second will only be a slave i.e. only one actual DVD player required).

A place local to me wants a grand but I'm not spending that - if it is that much I won't bother.

depending on what your car is you can get after market headrests with the screens built in from ebay pretty cheap.
if you've got a family mobile and not bothered about losing the factory headrests than that is the cheapest option.
You could try it yourself mounting some 7" LCDs - your probably looking £350 tops for equipment. The expensive bit is labour cost!
