I noticed this a few years back and researched it to find that allegedly the inclusion of Cheshire was imminent. But no. And that's before I go on about their pesky adverts...

I'm a born & bred Cestrian.

Sorry, I wasn't aware this was a private party, I'll get myself back to the Australia forum.

If you're in Australia....why isn't your writing upside down?

There is a good reason for the omission - nothing newsworthy ever happens in Cheshire tongue out

Very little happens here.

Apparently Cheshire will be least affected by the Budget too.

The county of Cheshire still exists. bks to this unitary authorities crap; Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton, and Warrington. Goodness knows how much of our money has been wasted on this.

I was just reading how BBC are updating their site, and someone submited the following:

Are you going to include Cheshire in your list of local news regions?

Our TV news comes from Manchester (NW) and our local radio is from Staffs (Midlands) so we continually get shortchanged as there's no cohesive service for our region. When looking for local news we have to choose Stoke or Manchester basically, neither of which is local.'
