Going to Chester Races in a couple of weeks, having never been on a night out before where would people recommend?

Nice bars etc?

Bar Lounge is nearest to the race course and will no doubt be packed out

My PA recomends Cruise, Off The Wall, Watergates, Tellfords and a few other places I've never been to!

And if your after ladies of the pole, there is always the Platinum lounge on Bridge Street (up on the rows, pretty much opposite Geives and Hawkes)

local Round Table did . . . . . . . . . mostly a bunch of perverts and drunken wife beaters, so tend to know the best dodgy dives in town hehe

from chester, and going on the 26th too. I would say...

bar lounge - IF you can get in, is ok. Will be rammed, and be full of protentious tossers
slug and lettuce - good atmosphere and decent prices
amber lounge - small and funky. coctails are nice, but pricey
pitcher and piano - good atmosphere and decent prices. close to cruise so go here last
havanas - cool, funky and always busy
revolution - down the other end of town so a bit of a trek, but decent
cruise - much better than RBs and always full. A darn good club but it will be busy!

enjoy. dont waste your money in platinum lounge - there will be plenty of ladies out to keep you entertained! even more so if you win some money

Head down to the station and jump on a train to Liverpool if you want a decent night! biglaugh

Seriousley though, it will be jam packed everywhere if it's a sunny day. The further away from the race course the easier it'll be to get in straight without queuing.
Bar lounge - as stated will packed, also guest list only usually.
Amber lounge - small, expensive and never really enjoyed going there.
Cruise - your normal night club including club prices.
Telfords - Always enjoyed nights there particularly when they have live music.
Living Room - usually guest list after races.
Revoloution - Probably be a queue but normally a good night.
Good pubs - Harkers, Bear and Billet, Watergates to name a few but there are plenty more.

The ones who decide to say it's a guest list usually only do so when it's good weather and they know it'll be busy, having said that I've been into them on their so called guest lists and normally head back out pretty soon after due to the before stated protentious tossers.
