One of my favourite days of the year, and the forecast is scorchio too. There should be some fantastic racing, and there's always something interesting to see in the spectator car parks as well. £20 to get in (kids under 12 free).

Anyone else going?

I'll be there - keep an eye out for a laser blue Elise (photo in my profile). Really looking forward to the smell of Castrol R in my nostrils. VSCC events are always brilliant fun.

I'll try to do photos at some point this week - got a few to trawl through. What a fantastic day out though - great atmosphere, lovely weather and glorious old cars.

That Bentley Napier is Incredible. I have seen it a few times and it always blows my mind away! I have the largest amount of respect to these guys who race their classic P&J as if you stuff it, you are in a big mess with little or no spare parts available and minimal safety equipment. I'd like to say a massive thankyou for keeping them on the track and used for what they are intended. None of this namby pamby in the museum nonsense. Can't wait for this years Gold Cup and CPOP!

Too right! Nothing in the world like watching someone sawing at an enormous wooden-rimmed wheel in a car which looks more like a Victorian pram than a racing machine! I still remember sitting in Casino Square as Julian Bronson came hammering into Massenet at the Monaco Historique a couple of years ago all arms and elbows in ERA R4D. Stunning. I'll get photos up ASAP this week - got about 400 to sort through.
