I need some work doing to rebuild the 4.6 v8 in my TVR.
I live in Barrow but travel to Portsmouth each week so can detour off if need be.
Any recommendations for a reputable engine workshop?

Lancaster Engines are just 1 mile off the M6 at junction 34. They've been in business for over 30years, have a good reputation and are very helpful. Find out more from their website.

Not seen any of those sorts of cars for weekend rental - you can certainly rent them for a track day bash.

Another option would be to get a cheapo flight out to Germany and do a day at the ring - there are lots of companies that do this and I suspect it would be a good deal cheaper and more fun than renting say a ferrari 360 for the weekend. Ron Simons is a name that springs to mind.

have fun
