Hotel / Pub recommendation around Chester

As the title says really, SWMBO and I are looking to spend a couple of days in and around the Chester area and are looking for a nice pub / hotel to stay in for a couple of nights within say 15 / 20 miles of the city; what would be your suggestions?

Was at the commercial last night - that place has changed for the better - but parking a bit hit and miss. NCP joining the Grosvenor Centre best.

Assuming you have pub rooms sort of budget -
