Have just visited the Red Cat at Crank - superb little pub and wonderfully friendly and welcoming owners! smile The pub is actually located on the one of the original routes we used to drive, just before you head down the hill past the hospital smile

The owners (Geoff and Jackie) are happy for us to meet up and will section off the second part of the car park specifically for our use! smile (Drive to the back of the car park and turn left into the second area - Geoff may have it coned off for us)
I will stress however that the pub is busy with customers eating there on a Thursday night so we must ensure we don't impact that at all - so if everyone can please stick to the second part of the car park and be polite and courteous (which I know we tend to be anyway smile )

Format will remain as it was for the Wheatsheaf meets - if we can show up before 7.30pm aiming to head out on the run at 7.30pm sharp (especially until it's lighter longer). Either myself or Lawrence will lead the first run and then we'll have a proper natter afterwards about future runs smile

As the pub does good food Dave and I will be getting there for about 18.20 to grab some food - if anyone wants to join us please let me know as we'll let Geoff and Jackie know numbers smile

Pub Details:
The Red Cat
8 Red Cat Lane
Crank
WA11 8RU

The website is currently out of date so please don't rely on the menu information etc - it's no longer linked to the Colliers pub and they haven't updated thier website yet.

Any questions, let me know smile

Might bring the new daily, it's only a 1.3 normally aspirated 4 door family saloon though ;-)

I must get to one of these. Bit tied up at the moment, but would love to get over if only to chat about the S2000 (my next car hopefully).

I know when I'm not welcome...

It's because I've only got 100hp to play with isn't it.

Doubt I will be there in time for food before the run though, does anyone know if they will still be serving food when we get back?

Lets hope the weather stays fine.

Of course you're welcome!
Ignore Ed, he's just grumpy I went for a blast on Sunday rather than to visit him at the gallery tongue out Or maybe he's grumpy cos he's a year older today smile

They do serve food up until half nine however they did say they couldn't cater for us if we all wanted to eat that late - the odd person should be fine though smile

Nooo!!

That is under a mile from my house!

BUT I CAN'T DO THURSDAYS!

I'll probably be able to hear you all as i finish off my tea before heading out!

A decent pub - not sure if it's the same landlord - but im sure one guy who had that place had a Boxster and an S3 at one time.
