Hi all,

I'm trying to find a wheel refurb place that someone here can vouch for, preferably Manchester but North West fine. Seems to be a fair few down south but I'm based in MCR now.. anyone here had their wheels refurbed?? If so, whereabouts and what were you experiences?

Before anyone says 'Google it' - I like to go somewhere that's been vouched for. Any suggestions much appreciated!

The Manchester outlet of:

http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/

did my BMW wheels about a month ago - fantastic job.

Around £310 for 4 x 19 inch wheels.

Thanks I will check them out - was that £310 for you to drive in and out or did you deliver the wheels ready for work?

It is a full refurb so they need the wheels for 24 hours. I had a spare set to stick on the car to allow me to drop off/collect the wheels to be refurbed.

Not sure how best to manage things without a spare set of wheels but they will need the wheels (car?) overnight for a really good job.

I seem to recall they will try and turn them around in a working day but don't like doing it because it can compromise the finish.

Gotcha! Thanks for your help, I see what you mean about leaving overnight... spare wheels would be a luxury!

If anyone knows of any other places then do tell and in the meantime, I'll ring these guys up tomoz for a chat.

Cheers

There's also Diamond Wheels in Stockport. They did a good job on my RS6's wheels. The wheel specialists, as already mentioned, are very good and they did a great job on my 911.

i would imagine a dealer would want a quick cheap superficial job. not what a long term owner would want
