I'm looking at moving into an M1 postcode apartment soon, and my current insurers (and most others on the comparison sites) want to triple my premium. Currently I'm in an SK postcode which is crap for insurance anyway, with a lightly modified (suspension etc, no extra power) MR2 Roadster parked on the road. The new place has a secure residents carpark and nothing else is changing.

Does anyone know of a good company to try? I've had A-Plan suggested to me already but if I can get a few to ring around it would be good. It seems to be the mods that are the problem, as unmodified the premium barely changes.

Online forms and endless telephone calls, Arghh!!
I feel your pain.
Have you tried Aviva? They seem to be quite competitive atm. The best of a bad bunch, by a margin.

Thanks, I'll give Aviva a try. Adrian Flux came in far lower than the comparison sites but still far more than I'm willing to pay, waiting to hear back from A-Plan.
