PH members of Manchester

I will shortly (next 2-3 weeks) be starting work on a 4-6 month contract in Manchester at postcode M4 4EN, anyone on here from the area have any suggestions for a decent b&b/hotel etc within 10-15mins of the postcode? There will be 2 of us, nothing pricey as we are only being paid £30-40 per night for accomodation, also any decent places to eat around there such as a cheap carvery or 2 for £10 type meal deals in a decent pub?

I live about 5mins Northwest of there. Not the greatest of places to stay, but you are about literally 2mins to get into city centre.

Nothing really cheap hotel wise that way, there is the Park Inn at end of Cheetham Hill Road / Miller Street but I guess it will be out of your price range.

Further out of town, Cheetham Hill is generally an Asian area, so lots of curry houses etc. a bit further down, or there is plenty of places in around town centre which you are only 5mins away from.


EDIT to add that there are plenty of Weatherspoon-esque pubs nearby with their 2 steaks and wine, curry club etc. offers for £10-15.

Thanks for the reply, not looking for anything too pricey or posh basically just a bed and decent shower as will be working around 10-12hrs each day (construction and on price work). Will do more research closer to start date when that is confirmed.

I work in Construction as well... is it at the Green Quarter? Thought they had finished the development?

I think in terms of a bed, I'd look around the flats with someone for a room to rent. At Green Quarter there are 5-6 large tower blocks, I'm sure there will be some going spare (You have Lincoln Gate, Masson Place, Barton Place, Jefferson Place, Melia House and Valea Court all on the same road and literally a 2min walk from that postcode you provided) If they're giving you £40/night, then you could easily rent a room for £300ish a month.
