Sorry for the subject, but I couldn't think of a better way of putting this smile

I've got an Iveco Daily which has been converted into a race car transporter but my car doesn't fit very easily so I was looking at having it modified. What I'm after is the wooden partition between the cab and the back removing, the winch moving further down and the car ramps extending.

I've tried calling numerous van body shops, workshops and companies that modify vans but they tend to be quite specalist in what they do. I think what I really need is a bloke that will cut, fit, weld and build stuff and can work on a van as I'm not after a neat job, just a functional and cheap one. It's a long straw, but does anyone happen to know somewhere or someone that could do this?

Thanks in advance!

The van lives in Stockport, so only 30 mins drive away from there. That'd be great if you could get us some more details.

Incidentally, I noticed you race F2 stock cars which are exactly the thing the van was originally modified to carry smile

A horsebox coachbuilder would be a good shout. Google one in your area and im sure they would be able to help

Kevin Parker in Preston might do it. www.kevinparkerhorseboxesltd.co.uk

Worth a call at least. His work is top notch though.

Cheers for all the replies guys. I tried the horse box builders but it was a similar story of not really being their thing, which I can fully understand. I gave Gary's friend a call and it's going in next weekend to be pulled apart and stuck back together smile

Thanks once again!

There is a company in Blackburn who re-bodied a fleet of car transporters for the rental business I used to work for. They also built car recovery and transporters from chassis', so they be worth a try.

North West Tippers speak to either Eddie Walton or Chris Nuttall on 01254 55441
