I'm going, going to try and get to as many stages as possible since I'm right in between Blackpool and Fleetwood.

Fleetwood prom stages should be fantastic!

You know I think someones missed a trick here...why dont they use lytham hall park as a spectator stage? it could have decent stages and the hall could make a few bob too? confused

They did last year and may well be doing so this year, but they're NOT spectator stages frown

I know mate, I live in lytham and have watched NW stages for the last five years. What I mean is with the demise of the pontins facility I thought it would have been a good opportunity for lytham hall to take over the mantle of 'spectator stage' and make a few bob in the meantime

sorry if I wasn't clear

What are the best viewing points to take a young child.

I went either one or two years ago, we parked near Gynn Square mid morning and this was not bad for action, then walked to the start line near North Pier which was good.

Pontins was ideal in the afternoon, provided some warmth and tea/coffee/hot dogs etc :-)

Where would you recommend this year?

Hi'ya Scottie,
I can only make it on Friday evening due to a wedding on the Saturday thus I'll be going to the Norbreck Castle where the scrutineering is taking place and the 2 stages are across the road on the promenade, spectating should be good. I can't comment on the other spectator stages as I haven't been on them.

I think some of the drivers need some hand-brake turn practice!

Gutted I can't go to this because I'm working all weekend! I saw a few cars on trailers heading that way as I was going along the M61 then M62 on friday morning, a yellow 205 and a white Escort Cosworth amongst others.

To be fair it did look extremely slippy down there even the 4WD were struggling for grip!

Good entertainment for a Friday evening, jeez, I must be showing my age biggrin. Agreed, shame about the MK II Escort catching fire. I'm uploading a video as I type.

Just got back. Was a decent day out, shame about the weather being freezing but at least it didn't rain.

Went down yesterday was amazing how few cars finished must be a real car breaker.
The lotus sumbeam sounded lovely, and the Group B RX7 was ace.
My dad has some good pic's will upload some when I get chance.

Great entertainment, and that Pulsar/Sunny GTIR was nothing shy of rapid.

Was terrific seeing the Forester and Manta hurtling around when they were not ideally suited to the stages!

Some pics;
