Head out of Horwich, towards Grimeford village, and the pub is on the corner where the A673 Bolton Road, and Rivington Lane meet. Pub is on the right hand side as the road splits, leading to the section of road between the reservoirs.

Id come across I live in horwich, wont be in anything worth while though I'll be in a manky 106 deisel till I finish one of my minis and bus something else.

Just to note the Millstone doesnt Open mondays and is only about 10min from chorley.

I used to run a Thursday night run for a mix of machinery from the Squirrel (though that has now become an Indian Restaurant I think, or closed since then?). I'd be happy to resurect that route for this, a little loop across a mixture of roads.

There is a pub further along Bolton Road to the northwest of Horwich, white place on the right hand side, or is that the Millstone?

Bob's Smithy is a good pub also.
