I've had a bit of a search and not found any other reference to BMW/Mini Independents in Liverpool Area.

I normally use Bavarian Motor Warehouse in Huddersfield but as I am working in Bootle I could do with one I could get to during office hours.

I have seen reference to Field Lane BMW, a place called Autotech and I know of another off Great Howard Street.

Has anyone got any recommendations?

Field Lane would be on my way in From Leeds, not too far from work.

Great Howard Street is on the way to the Tunnel which is also handy.

Its an MOT and a bit of work I need.

I have used the Bm indy in field lane, Was very impressed with their knowledge and the price was very good, Used Autotech once but would avoid them in future, they seem to have young trainees doing most of the work, And test driving the cars !!! Williams will fleece you !! Field lane gets my vote.

I've just moved to Liverpool from Warrington so am alsolooking for a recommended indy locally.

I was using David Paulin Warrington who I whole heartily recommend but a little to far away now.

I too have been recommended Field Lane so will be giving them a try later in the year.

Here is their website

Newhall are my side of the water, but perhaps not so conveniently located as Field Lane.

So I have been to Field Lane on my lunch and booked in for an MOT Monday. I'm obviously nervous giving my P&J over to people I know very little about.

They seemed busy enough with BMW's everywhere including a 5 Series on its side in the carpark (being broken I hope).

I will report more after they have done my MoT. I'm hoping for a straight pass, although thats not happened once yet.

Aside from being unable to collect and drop off my car because of staffing problems (additional ballache for me) Field Lane did a good job and the car passed first time, which is the first time its done that in 4 tests.

£40 seemed reasonable too.

I wouldnt expect a pristine workshop though but the busy-ness of the place is a good sign I think.
