The headlights on the integrale aren't the best and having seen Dave's HID's in his Legacy last week, I'm now thinking along those lines, but do I actually need a kit? The reason that I ask is that 4 years ago, I upgraded the headlight wiring by taking a live from the battery and feeding both dipped beam lights via 2 relays which worked a treat plus I've also installed a pair of PIAA "White Ice" bulbs. The lights are bright but don't seem to put it down onto the road as good as the HID's. Oh, and before anyone says, no, it's NOT down to my age or eyesight as Louise also said that they weren't very bright, hence why I fitted the lamp pod (health and safety reasons hehe ) but on coming drivers take offence, don't know why rolleyes.

So the question is, do I really need an HID set up and if so, where's the best place to purchase a kit from? Thanks.

having been flashed by your light pod witch temporally blinded me. why don't you get some of the lazes they where talking about in the lounge then you can burn the snow from the road as well ;-) .

as I understand it the kit includes the ballast/regulator witch steps the voltage up to the values required for lighting the burner 300 to 400. also you can get kits from the bay for 40 ish now witch seams like a bargen to me.

my uncle has an ebay shop specialising in hids and car lighting..
i had some hids off him in my old corsa, they are well worth the money.

he has got a load of hid conversion kits, tried them out and now stocks the best ones.

his shop is called lightec autostyle.

I'd be careful fitting HID's to car's it's not legal to, they are going to start being stricter on these come MOT time.

I was considering some for my Nissan, but I think they are an MOT failure unless the car has about 3 or 4 things, like self levelling headlights, headlight washers etc.

In your case though if your exhaust passes you should be ok lol :-)

It passed last year with the exhaust, although Nick (we're on first name terms wink ) did raise an eye brow when I pulled up.

I had problems with my catalytic convertor. The regulations said the car had to be fitted with a working catalytic convertor, however the MOT tester did not accept the fact the working catalytic convertor was fitted in the boot :-)
