Talk about pissed off!!!!! I'm in Hadfield near Glossop and snowed in good and proper. Got about 14" of snow on the hill where I am and now the wind is picking up. Got tonnes of work to do but can't get the bloody vans out of the village. The lads are sat at home, still being paid we are loosing £xxxx per day. Can't see us getting out tomorrow either. Why oh Why didn't I buy a Land Rover banghead

I came up Smithy Lane to get to Kenyon Lane , was coming back from Fearnhead to Lowton

Quite an easy journey really given the conditions

another taken just before turning right at the Plough, which had an A board outside with

'Crap food now being served' on it . The landlord must be an honest chap

I used to go school down the road from there. I can remember our headteacher turning up in a tractor, probably the last time Heswall has had snow like that.

The last time I can remember snow round here like this , I was living on School Hill (the little lane that goes between the Dee View and the Black horse) suprisingly didnt even bother trying to drive up or down it hehe but did spend a freezing hour or two helping a former liverpool player get his range rover out of the sandstone wall he'd just demolished!

Just spoke to my folks and they both left there cars in Heswall and walked down Delavor Rd last night. They watched several cars crash/spin trying to get down the road towards the shore.

yikes

hehe

I can imagine the carnage of trying to get down anywhere near the golf club or Sheldrakes, even the car park in M&S was more dangerous than usual biggrin

The good news is that most of the main roads are now clear'ish, just spoken to one of the local insurance approved bodyshops, never heard them happier!

My mate counted 32 cars abandoned on Delavor this morning. It's not too bad at the moment but will likely be a bit tricky tonight when it all refreezes. I had to leave the baby at his grandmothers on Pipers Lane last night as there was no way the E30 was going to make it back up.

My poor wife was stuck on Edge Lane in Liverpool from 3pm to 11pm eek
