Hi all,

Sometime soon i'm going on a bit of a Xmas shindig, starting off with some food near the Printworks.

Is there any secure parking nearby? I'm not so confident in leaving an Evo on the streets of Manchester.

Is an NCP multi story secure enough? The one on Tibb Street has gated access to keep the tea leaves out I think and is not far from Printworks.

Can you not use train/bus/metrolink instead of the car?

I've parked there before i think.

Public Transport isn't an option for me. I'd have to be anti social and leave at about 2230 to get back to Lancaster. Doh frown

You used to be able to park on the top floor of the Charles Street multi storey car park (University of Manchester - junction with Sackville Street). The top shelf can only be accessed via a roller shutter which security open via an intercom. I'd ring them first to check though (0161 200 4999).

Other than that, a few of my mates use this one. I don't know if it's manned 24/7 but it seems pretty well camera'd up.

No it is not but I would feel fine leaving A £50k+ car in there

Bit of an issue for me next month too. Office party at printworks, don't want to leave the DC2 or the MCS on the streets. Have looked into getting the train in but public transport from the sticks is too much like hard work.

Depends what you mean by secure?

There is NCP (Or NCP-esque) multi-storeys at Printworks (Shudehill) and Arndale (2mins walk away). Also parking at MEN Arena which is a 5min walkthrough Victoria Station to get to Printworks.

Which car park is this? The only one I can think of near the Lass is the Charles Street multi I mentioned.

Dont park on wasteground by the MEN as my car got clamped, towed and my wallet relieved of £425 about this time last year.

I meant in the MEN car park.

But which wasteground you mean? On the old Boddingtons site? I park there daily for work, and its fine.... it is open 24hr but not sure I'd leave my car there.

The entrance is literally on the tiny raod next to the Lass
