Anyone know of any decent furniture shops in NW England, similar to
Housing Units ?

Depends what style you are looking for?

Bohm and Stocktons are both very good.
Habitat is ok.
Dwell is good.

That place opposite where ILVA used to be (Gt. Ancoats St.) is excellent. Can't remember the name of it though.

Bit of an open question. Surely all depends on expected budget.

That's why we need to know what the OP wants. wink

If he's after "throwaway fashion" items, Dwell is the place to be.

If you want slightly cheaper but decent quality - Doorway to Value on the A6 near Chorley is good - google it.

Otherwise, Stokers in Ormskirk.

EDIT - Googled for ya!

http://www.stokers.co.uk/ - in chester, ormskirk and southport

http://www.doorwaytovalue.co.uk/ - Chorley

BIZARRE! Would appear they are run by the same company - either that or they just use the same web designer. I've not bought from either for at least 5 yrs now - but they definately used to both be independent!

Can i just make any people intending to purchase from BOHM that there after sales service is absolutely ATTROCIOUS. Once they have the money in the bank any faults with your items will be shunned and they revert to a " the person who deals with this is not in until " policy. They will not return calls and have had to turn to trading standards as my only recourse of action. Be warned CAVIAT EMPTOR. ( Buyer Beware)
