I'm trying to sort out a bit of a meet for a few fellow Mitsubishi Owners in Cheshire or North Wales.

Can anyone suggest any nice pubs/eateries with quite a big car park, and relatively easily accesible from major roads?

Thanks!

Soughton hall stables just the other side of the welsh border just off the A55 is nice, has a big car park and is in a nice setting, food is good and reasonably priced
If you do go into North Wales, I can’t recommend Nothop Hall Country hotel (won’t go into further details due to PH naming and shaming rules wink but suffice to say would rather do KFC than ever go back there

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Some of those places look too good to go abandon circa 20 Mitsubishi Evolutions outside! lol.

One of the nicest pubs for a car club "drive out" is The Boat at Erbistock. Totally safe parking, lovely location on banks of River Dee and decent beer. Food prices can hurt a bit but not compulsory. It had closed and gone into receivership earlier in the year but I am told it is open again. Check before you go 01978 870666. Nice drive there too. sTeVeR

Kosta, we use the Unicorn in Dean Row near Wilmslow, as do the Ford RS owners club too. Always a friendly welcome from the staff on the first thursday of the month and they're well geared for big groups of cars turning up. We have members come as far afield as North Wales and they find it very easy to get to. Very close to the M56 and also the airport tunnels for a bit of a blast with your windows down (works better in a scooby though! smile)
See our site for details of how to get there:

some feedback from a north wales resident for you mate....

- cornmill - really nice place, no carpark other than public ones though...
- the boat - nice place and just off a great road but arse end of nowhere and the carpark aint that big

so...

ponderosa - top of the horseshoe pass. great place for fellow petrolheads to congregate and right in the heart of the best roads

cock o barton - on the A534 towards tarporley/oulton park and has a good sized car park and serves nice beers for those not driving!

pant yr ochain, wrexham - big carpark, great beer garden. home to a few lotus meets at times

the grovesnor, pulford - big carpark and home to numerous 350z meets over the years!

some food for thought!
