Spotted this at the bottom of the A627(M) this morning sitting on the main traffic light junction in Rochdale. It had a speed camera sign on it but could be just cctv !

Saw either one or the same one a few days ago also, except the one I saw had CCTV stickers and a couple of police logos on it.

There's nothing more effective than an on the spot bking! These police may as well deliver themselves an ASBO! There is nothing more anti social than recording it on a camera, then sending a letter in the post! It's not going to prevent an accident, just record one as it happens! GENIUS!

What constitutes distraction? genuine question). Where I live (Canada) texting/handheld mobiles re either illegal or about to be; every part of North America has drive-ins, so drinking a coffee, eating, smoking etc are all quite legal. Not arguing the merits, but just wondering if yo can be nailed for eating an apple.

Have a read of this story from a couple of years back. Clicky I remember it because I live not far from where it happened and drive the road every day. Basically, they use the same "not in control" blanket rule for using mobile, eating and whatever else you can think of doing at the wheel.

I got a parking fine from one in Birkenhead, I popped into a shop in a really quiet street for a pork pie!!.... 3 nice pics of car over 5 mins...and the £30 fixed pen notice.

I just avoid the area now and hopefully when the area is run down and void of any motorists the council can give themselves a slap on the back and sack themselves as they have no business revenue to pay their own wages.

I spotted a black one on the road out of Manchester - A56 Bury New Road, pointed towards Manchester centre. I didn't spot it until the last minute as I wasn't alert to it but wondered what it was. I was driving slowly and calmly so wasn't worried but just wondered what it was. Anyway, now you know another place to look out for it.

There's one there at some point virtually every weekday. Right down at the bottom just by the Piaggio scooter place/opposite the casino.

They are regularly parked on the car sales site on Hyde Road just up from the Stagecoach bus station. Parked in amongst the cars! Sneaky devils. These ones say Manchester City Council on the side!

Yes, I would say you are right! I saw the one on Rochdale Road a few weeks ago, in position at 3.40pm, covering the start of the bus lane out of the centre. It is legal to use the bus lane up until 4.00pm, so parked prematurely just to be a fking nuisance!!

All we have created now is a nation of fkwits, who cannot read, decipher, interpret any road signs, so when it is legal to use the bus lanes, no-one does!! I have been driving along a bus lane where & when I'm legally entitled to, and some braindead moron turns across my path into a side road on the left!!!

This country is a complete joke, government by jokers, with the laws administered by jokers, breeding a nation of brainless & incompetent road users!!!

I drive down Rochdale Road on a daily basis and lost count of the amount of times I've had someone pull across the lane I'm in to turn left... particularly at weekends when they all think the buslane is still in 'operation'

That is exactly what I mean,....... People are just idiots!! I was driving along the M56 on wednesday evening last week at around 8.30pm, and the matrix signs were saying "don't hog the middle lane, move left", so where was everyone driving, ..... in the middle or outside lanes!
