Can anyone tell me whether this is a worthwhile show? Weather permitting thinking of going up this Sunday.

It's the biggest classic/modern car show in the NW, well worth it.

Something for absolutely everyone. TVRs out in force, we should be knocking on 50 in our display area on Sunday. The 3 o'clock rev up should sound like a localised thunderstorm hehe

I'll have the SC there amongst 40 other MR2s hopefully smile

It is a lovely location for a show when the weather's good and it does get filled up with a lovely mix of cars. Bring a picnic if you can cos the food from the snack vans is overpriced and not very tasty.

Is the parking miles away, Kirsty?

Not that I recall although I've not parked in the public parking.

Parking for the show starts pretty much right next to the gates to get into the show area itself - it can extend back a fair way though as you get a LOT of people turning up (especially if the weather is good).

Just back from cutting the grass and laying out the stand, TVR display will be tops as always.

Hi all,

Thinking of going tomorrow. Are both days the same or would you recommend Sunday over Saturday?

Thanks

Hey Sim wavey
Was it busy? Not displaying so having to park on the car park, just wondering whether it's worth taking the Venturi?

Hey there, yeah it was busy, I think the weather played a large part. Parking is just on the surrounding fields so not a problem really, I was about 5 minute walk away from the entrance and got there at 10 30.

A lot of families about, half of the show is a car boot/jumble sale and other is the cars.

Well worth a day out!

It was pretty good today, we went early and got out early and headed over to Rivington Barns which was probably as good for bike spotting as an organised event, especially the variety on offer. Didn't fancy the queue out at rush hour at Tatton either.

ETA: Was gutted at the fake Ferrari display, my mate said 'bloody hell, there's an F40 over there'. I turned round and it took about 0.001 of a second to spot that nothing was real. Horrific, the lot of them. The 250 was almost acceptable but all the modern Ferrari rip offs were dire.

Had a great day. Not been before but a good event that appeared well organised. Some lovely people and top vehicles on display.

Here are some pics (I have not sorted them yet so there are some ok and some not so ok ones in there): http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/richard.hodson/2009T...
