are we having the monthly tyre-kick this month? don't see any topics for it as yet, so i guess i'll start!
copied from planetdave's intro from last-months topic smile but all still relevant!

The usual format is to get there for a drive out leaving the car park at about 7:30 and taking an hour or so.

I don't know any of the routes so we'll need someone to step forward with one that we used last year.

Newbies - don't be put off by thinking you can't keep up or your car is 'not worthy'. Either blag a ride (lots of spare passenger seats usually available) or tag along with one of our notorious slowcoaches

For sat-navs the postcode is WA11 7TA

Those using steam power click here for a map

Copy and paste the list below and add your username (plus car if you like) into a new post - but make sure you do it right or Lois (horourary copy and paste nazi) will beat you up

here goes!

Phew - someone else took the bait. I don't mind organising or leading the run - but I don't know either of the two usual routes (and no-one wanted to ride shotgun with me last month to navigate) so I'm keeping one of those legendary low profiles. Yes, it's a tyre wink

Anywho - the weather looks good and I have fuel in the car so I should be there.

Anyone got maps of either route?

thanks Sim89 smile

does anyone know a route we can do??

[edit]...
okay, as i've only done this once before, i've drafted up a route...
i've tried to pick half tight twisty sections and half wider roads too, but avoiding where possible major towns/villages.... hopfully i's a good route.

i will be making a sat-nav inventory file do-dad thingybob for a Tomtom Go 300, hopfully compatitable with most sat-navs.

if anyone has any suggestions (or wishes to take over as planner), please do make them public!! smile

Just-In says he knows a route.

I'm game for a new one - but if you haven't driven it it's a bit risky - the routes we have are tested beforehand.

If only a few of us turn up then why the hell not - but I'd be very happy doing Formby again.

You scared of that curb CK?
