Any Porsche Meets?
Discussion
Nope, you don't have to be a member, I'm not. I went a few years ago when I was Porsche-less and am thinking of going tomorrow just to check it out since I got my '72 on the road again.

Independent Porsche Enthusuasts meet first Monday of every month in Chorley at the Thatch and Thistle pub.
Edited to add that at least three regulars frequent PH, I'm sure they'll be along shortly to tell you how great it is.

Usually a good turn out - think June is their 'car park' meet?

Everyone is always welcome at the northwest TIPEC meetings, most members have a Porsche, but a few that come have never had a Porsche and never intend getting a Porsche, they just have a general interest in them and enjoy seeing everyone each month.
The July meeting is always quite good, we have a very friendly carpark Concours event.
Throughout the year we visit various car shows, including the Tatton Park classic and sports car show next week. Other events are, runs out, clay pigeon shooting, Scalextric nights, a yearly quiz (nothing serious), Christmas do, etc etc. We have been to Le Mans a few times the cost of which has always been kept down to about £150 per head...not bad for five nights in France.
Feel free to come along, we really are are a friendly bunch. Meetings (well I say meeting...it's not formal) start at about 8pm, but a few get there early and enjoy some of the great food thats on offer in the pub.
Edited to add...I am also a PCGB member, but don't get to their meetings as often as I would like.

I'm thinking of buying a Porsche - do you think will I be welcome at these meets? Still undecided as to which model I want. Will the owners be happy for me to have a nosey round their cars and chat to potential newbies?
When i first joined what is now TIPEC (was The 924 - 968 Club in 1995) i owned a mk1 Astra GTE. I turned up at meetings in my GTE no probs. It was a great introduction to Porsche ownership which materialised some 6 months later. The info from members and getting to look round so many different Porsches was invaluable!Gassing Station | North West | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
