speed camera m62 liverpool
Discussion
Unforunately the M62 one was replaced last week
Bloody stupid location forcing drivers to brake and lose most of their speed, then have to hit the gas to get up the hill. Closer to the top would be more visible, more natural to slow for the brow, and catch those doing innapropriate speeds prior to the bend and traffic lights.

Wot? You expect the collection of ex school bullies and passive/aggressive public transporteers to be sensible/not vindictive?Bloody stupid location forcing drivers to brake and lose most of their speed, then have to hit the gas to get up the hill. I could actually support speed cameras if the arses in charge actually put them just in front of critical junctions/schools/blind corners where no alternative road planning solution can be found.
It is noticable in my own area (Tameside) that cameras are falling into disrepair and not being replaced. Lets hope the trend continues.

the one on the A562 heading towards Speke is back though!
Where is that one ? The only fixed sites for the A562 are by Widnes after the Runcorn Bridge and at the top of Smithdown Road - unless I've missed one (which is worrying).Nothing showing here either: http://www.no-excuses.org.uk/Pages/CameraMap.aspx?...

Yeah the one after the runcorn bridge, heading towards Liverpool, it was 'taken out of action' a while ago, but its back.

I was too scared to go through it over 50 even when it was blown up - just in case it still worked.
However, some people were flying through it.
Please don't tell me you are one of those people who hit the anchors there ?? The limit is 70 on that stretch (dual carriageway NSL) and only drops to 50 at Speke or the flyover before the bridge in Runcorn direction. So many people panic brake when they see the yellow boxes there. However, some people were flying through it.
Oh, apologies if you meant the M62 one. (of course you did ) Must admit I didn't risk it even when it was badly fire damaged - I prefer them properly sawn off !!
