Since nobody else is shaping up I'll start the ball rolling.

Yes - it's the famous Wheatsheaf meet on the Rainford bypass.

The usual format is to get there for a drive out leaving the car park at about 7:30 and taking an hour or so.

I don't know any of the routes so we'll need someone to step forward with one that we used last year.

Newbies - don't be put off by thinking you can't keep up or your car is 'not worthy'. Either blag a ride (lots of spare passenger seats usually available) or tag along with one of our notorious slowcoaches wink (Hello Tom wavey)

For sat-navs the postcode is WA11 7TA

Those using steam power click here for a map

Copy and paste the list below and add your username (plus car if you like) into a new post - but make sure you do it right or Lois (horourary copy and paste nazi) will beat you up tongue out

I may be able to make it, although my car won't - she's got a broken front spring frown

If I'm home in time we'll trundle up in the rep mobile and bags a passenger seat smile

Good guess! tongue out

The idea is to leave the Wheatsheaf for the drive soon after 19:30 - but I have arrived at 25 to to find an empty car park cry so arrive before 19:30.

And coming early allows you to make friends and ogle the cars biggrin

Oh lord, don't remind me about the Southport run please, 5 mins late, 57 wrong turnings and an equal number of calls to Kirsty later I find you all.

There should be a memorial stone for that day with our names chiselled into it - maybe in the shape of an Ark.

That was the day I replaced my spare tyre with an oar yes

Damn and blast, the beast will be off the road getting an oil leak fixed that week frown Next time lads!

Would have been interesting to test a small precision made Italian v8 against my 16 valve push-rod lump. Especially given mine's probably been built by cross-eyed people that have slept with their sister and/or dog.
