Just bought a Legacy 3.0R spec B as a beater.
I need a good reliable Subaru mechanic in the Warrington area.
Any ideas?

I know Christopher Neil in Northwich used to be a Subaru dealer but IIRC they are a bit pricey.

I'm in Warrington too - nearest place I could find was Adgespeed in Irlam.

Not used them yet, but Adge was really helpful on the phone and charges a very reasonable rate for labour. My Legacy GTB will be going there next week for some gearbox work so I'll let you know how I get on smile

It might be a drag but some nice roads to get there is Adam at Autotechnica (Buxton Subaru Centre)

Hes fully Subaru trained and has set up on his own in Buxton

A guy i work with has an Impreza WRX RA and Legacy Bilstein Edition and takes them to a place in Eccleston, up near Mawdsley, which is near Chorley - will ask for a name and number for you.

This guy even provides an R reg Primera GT as a courtsey car - not great but better than a lot of indies!

I'm also near Preston
I like the guys at Skoobyteknix at Fleetwood
They really seem to know their stuff, and have a sensible approach to charging
Only job I've had done was mass flow sensor, but instant diagnosis, rapid aquisition of part, and first time fix
The previous incarnation of Cotton didn't have a clue, and were going to find the fault by substituton
(although I do get filters, etc from them..)

Car has come back from Adgespeed today (didn't end up going there quite when I thought). Adge jumped in the car straight away while I was there and we went out to see if we could hear the problem. After that he always kept me informed of what was happening, how far he'd got and what he'd found and was happy to talk through options with me so that was excellent smile

Very reasonable bill considering the work done, will definitely use them again if I need anything else looking at.
