I'm looking to organise this breakfast meet, and am currently considering some time in June now, when the weather is a bit better. I was thinking May last week, but the good weather was putting me into a false sense of security. The weather has been crap today so best to leave a bit longer.

Does anybody know of any other big meets or shows between say May and mid July?

I really want to avoid a lot of posts saying 'i'd love to have come but i'm at xxxxxxx show 2009 with 500 of similar minded people who would have otherwise come too'!!

My car show at Gawsworth Hall is on May 4th, which is the first bank holiday monday in May. I started the event in 1998 and last year we had over 500 vehicles on show from veteran/classic to modern TVR, Caterham, Porsches, etc. See www.gawsworthhall.com

Good luck with your breakfast meet!

Don't want to er, rain on your parade, but we live in England. You've as much guarantee of fine weather in June as you have of accurately predicting saturdays' lottery numbers.

On a brighter note (sorry) you are wise to ask about any show dates...

Looking forward to Gawsworth, first show of the season for me. Just hope my car is back on the road by then.

It may not be to everyone's taste but I think it's a really good day out.

I know this guy - he built this in his garage (apart from the boiler) and he has a steam lorry and another miniture engine in restoration.

Carry on.

Very funny, I know I have not used it for a while, but I did try to start it last week and it wouldn't. I think the fuel pump has packed up.
Anyway, enough about my car, are you going to Gawsworth, or can I feel an excuse coming on.

My 3 is having its first service tomorrow at OPC Kendal and i'm having a new front lower spoiler fitted to replace the scraped one currently on.

Since our allotted space at the Gawsworth Show always entails driving up a steep and rough track with bigs dips and rises I shalln't be going as i scraped my spoiler on the rough track last year and do not want a repeat with my new spoiler!
If someone could try and move our alloted space to a better location then i will gladfully attend.
ps. it wasn't just me who scraped the front either!!

997GT3, appreciate you don't want to mark up a new front spoiler. Porsche Club GB & TIPEC have been on the top plateau for the past ten or so years and it does hold 70 or so Porsches very nicely, however spoilers are getting ever lower which is something of a problem. Chris & Barry (from PCGB)are carrying out a site inspection next tuesday so I will point this out. I can certainly provide a certain amount of display parking elsewhere but would need to have numbers in advance.

Thanks. Yes, the plateau is a good spot but access not so. IMO, a change around of club alloted areas is a good idea to freshen up the appearance of the show. I look forward to your conclusions!

Oh the irony rofl

Two people who don't use their 911s arguing over who's going to not use it the most.

Nurburging1, you can hardly take the weewee out of 911gt3 when I was forced to take my wife to (that's "to" not "up" before you start sniggering at the back) the Evo triangle because I knew there was no point in asking you! Get that bloody bumper screwed back on this weekend.
