Chaps,

The time has come for us to get a Labrador pup. Does anybody know of any good breeders in the North West. We are based in Swinton but are more than happy to travel if need be.

Thanks,
Mike

Why not try Guide Dogs for the Blind in Bolton? We got our golden lab from there 16 years ago when he was only 6 months old. Unfortunately he died 2 years ago but was a fantastic dog from the day we got him. He was rejected from being a guide dog as he was slightly "dog distracted" and couldn't concentrate properly, when on the harness, when other dogs were around. Guess he didn't really want to work! For all intents and purposes it would be your dog, and your responsibility, for life, but technically you are, in fact, adopting it. Its not easy to get one though but well worth the effort if you do. They are always looking for good homes for both retired dogs and rejected dogs.
