I like Shona Spice at Samlesbury.

Also, a big fan of Bella Roma in Billinge, Nr. Wigan.

Italian Orchard is nice too - at Broughton.

It's pretty good Berry.

Not dead cheap but as you'd expect in that spot really.

Red in Westhoughton, seems to be in the wrong place, but the food and the service are excellent.

The restaurant at the Inn at Whitewell for me. Very expensive, but has an enormous wine list and let you stay at the table all night.

No that's Bukhara, really good food and not cheap but it's not your normal 'run of the mill' curry house though is it? I know what you mean about the beer but you can go to the pub opposite what was the Sam Whitbreds (which incidently is where Shona Spice is) before and after for a drink. smile
