Is the hand wash place still open on the A556 heading to Northwich, near the Smoker pub? Not quite a jet wash but at least it means you can stay in the car while someone else washes your car for you smile

That handwash place is ace...I always use it for a quick clean, not cheap but damned good! Music is sometimes a wee bit dodgy! ;-)

Wouldnt of thought there was that many members living round these parts - tis good that there is tho. I'm from HC as well (its actually Smallwood i'm from but work in HC at the garage near the motorway).

Theres a great Hand Car Wash in Arclid on the A50, i use that place for a few of my sales vehicles and sometimes my own. They are often really busy at weekends with people queuing etc, theres also a butty bar/burger van on site (their bacon and egg butties are lovely). A lady called Liz runs it - very nice pleasant person.

As for jet washes, theres Texaco, thats already been mentioned, other than that theres Tex at Sandbach, Shell at Congleton - but my fav is "Fuel Shop" in Arclid (on the A534 heading from Arclid lights towards Cong) as you can park any which way you want instead of being enclosed with those screens etc.

If you see an E36 BMW covered in stickers from last years Le Mans gimme a wave/flash/beep - you cant miss it LOL. biggrin

Now you mention it I think I might have followed you from HC to Brereton where I turned off towards Sandbach one night last week. The stickers do make it stand out a little wink

THE BEST HAND CAR WASH IN NORTHWICH AND PROBABLY THE BEST IN THE UK IS....JACKS HAND CAR WASH ON DENTON DRIVE NORTHWICH..NEXT TO B&Q. THEY ARE BRILLIANT - LOOKS LIKE YOUR CAR HAS JUST BEEN POLISHED AFTER BEING WASHED AND DRIED THERE. THE WAX THEY USE ON THE RINSE CYCLE IS SUPERB. TRY IT!!!

Tried both yesterday (arclid and Jacks)

One in my car the another in the wife’s

Both were good but I have to say never been to one as thorough as the Arclid one

Watched a SLK being cleaned (inside out) for over 20 minutes, as was shocked to see the lady only hand over a tenner
