Speeding in Liverpool

Does anyone know if the edge lane drive speed camera heading towards the M62 works? I went past it this morning for the first time and think I might have been flashed on the bike. Cue many swear words. Oh, and what is the speed limit on there, I'm pretty sure its 30 but someone could prove it was 40 I wouldn't object.
If I'd been hooning it on purpose I would feel hard done by but essentially have no quarrel with it but I wasn't even trying, focusing on seeing past the low sun and I missed it.
I'm very annoyed and waiting for an NIP. First time I'd gone that way to work too, what a crap start to the day.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but its 30 both ways, and they are catching loads of people out.
They are working permanantly and must be making the t@@ts loads of money.

Well they've got 14 days to send me an NIP, here's hoping it doesn't come. I'm currently praying the sun was in its eyes.
As for working its in Warrington up the M62. Its a shame the job is not worth getting a speeding conviction for...

I work in Warrington too.

They can actually send out the NIP up to, I think, 6 months after the incident, although normal practice says that if you haven't got it by 2 weeks' time you should be ok.
