Unfortunate incident this Sunday afternoon around 3:00-4:00pm-ish.

A Blue TVR Cerbera crashed in the airport tunnels going southbound. It looked quite serious and I hope everyone was OK.

Looked like they had lost the car coming into the tunnel and gone up the right-hand wall. Hard to explain how it could have happened, as it is pretty straight.

Not that hard to explain!!

Fantastic sounding car enters tunnel, driver drops a cog or two and boots it to hear aural perfection, under hard acceleration back ends steps out.

Seen it done many times. Fortunately never seen anyone stack it though.

Well, those were my exact thoughts, particularly when there were wet slug-trails leading into the tunnel from the earlier rain. I have been known to do the same thing myself on more than one occasion, but never in a car with no TC.....

I didn't see any white squares on the doors, but the side I cold see was pretty scraped up from where it had contacted the wall.

hope all involved are ok...dont get how it managed to break loose though... those tunnels are only a few miles from my pub and are a frequent hoon. the only ways a cerb will snap loose banging into them tunnels are if you lift off, or another vehicle is involved... under estimate the acceleration and get too close and you have a real handfull. tough break hope all is well.

I know Neil Hyde lives round there and has a blue Cerb.

Hope you're OK if it is you, Neil. And indeed, I hope whoever it was is OK.

ETA - Just had confirmation from Neil that is WAS NOT him.
