Looks like a good event! Won't be going though because (don't laugh) we're off to watch tractor pulling! (Honestly, it's brilliant. Surprisingly, most 'tractors' don't look like tractors.)

Tempted to go on the Monday, though. Never been to Oulton Park, where's a good spot to watch from (in case we do go)?

Regards,
Peter

1) Cascades
2) Knickerbrook inside
3) Knickerbrook outside
4) Old Hall
5) Clay Hill
6) Lodge

To be fair, I challenge anybody to say there is a 'bad' place to spectate. Awesome circuit.

THIS particular meeting is a no-brainer must see event for anyone with the slightest hint of interest in motor racing.

I'll be going, hopefully in the TR if the weather is good. I'll be on my own unless I can convince the old-man to come along.

Hmmm. I've been to this event every year since they restarted it.

Tomorrow I'm going mountain biking, Sunday I'm going to an all-day Hawaiian-themed hog roast (don't ask), and if I've not got a hangover on Monday I might consider it. It'll be a spur-of-the-moment thing if I do go.

Thanks Jon (lazyitus). If we do go, I'll sit myself down in one of those places (or have a wander and sit in them all).

Do so.

Take Lodge, for example. You are literally within 20 feet of the cars as they brake hard from the straight, turn in tight and then power on through Deer Leap. This is a great spot even when watching Formula Ford. So, imagine how good it is as a 'no-messing' Lola or ex Formula 1 / 5000 comes thundering in and then out.

Pornography on tarmac.

Latest weather forecast says it'll be OK actually, some sun, bit overcast, no serious threat of rain.

I've decided I'll be there on Monday - look out for the widebody Alfa 155 with the Renault F1 team pit pass sticker behind the rear-view mirror.
